Reading a Listing
Every listing page shows you the full picture — photos, specs, neighborhood, and a direct line to the listing agent.
Photos
The photo carousel at the top of every listing page shows all photos uploaded by the listing agent. Use the arrow buttons or swipe to move through them. The first photo is the primary exterior shot.
If a listing has no photos, you'll see a placeholder. This is rare — most agents upload photos before publishing. If you're interested in a listing without photos, the best way to see the property is to contact the agent directly.
Property specs
Below the photos, you'll find the key details:
- List price — the asking price.
- Address — full street address, city, state, and zip.
- Beds and baths — full bedrooms and full bathrooms (half baths shown separately when listed).
- Square footage — living area, if provided by the listing agent.
- Property type — single family, condo, townhouse, land, multi-family, or commercial.
- Year built — when the property was originally built.
- Garage — number of garage spaces, if applicable.
- MLS number — the listing's unique identifier in the local MLS system.
- Listing description — the agent's written description of the property.
Some fields may be blank if the listing agent didn't provide them. For any missing information, contact the listing agent directly using the Inquire button.
The agent panel
Every listing shows the listing agent's name and contact panel. This is the agent who represents the seller. They can answer specific questions about the property — condition, history, seller terms, access for showings.
On the agent panel you can:
- See the agent's name and photo.
- Click Inquire to send a message directly to the agent.
When you click Inquire, the agent receives your contact information and your message directly. There is no intermediary, no auction, and no fee charged to the agent for this connection.
What happens when you inquire
Clicking Inquire sends your name, contact information, and message to the listing agent. Here is what to expect:
- The agent receives your inquiry in their lead inbox, usually within seconds.
- Most agents respond by phone or text within a few hours. Response time depends on the agent's availability.
- The agent may ask clarifying questions, offer to schedule a showing, or provide additional information about the property.
- If the listing agent is the seller's agent and you don't have your own buyer's agent, they can explain the options available to you.
You are not obligated to work with the listing agent as your buyer's representative by submitting an inquiry. An inquiry is simply a way to start a conversation about the property.
